With the advancement of technology, many new lasers have debuted on the market. We’re highly selective about bringing in new devices and products until there is convincing evidence that they offer real benefits. Our experienced surgeon, Dr. Aaron Sarathy, and licensed aesthetician, Kim, can suggest the right laser treatment protocol designed specifically for your wants and needs.
CO2 Resurfacing Laser
The Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fractional Laser Resurfacing removes layers of skin tissue in a fractionated method (columns of skin are removed, leaving the skin surrounding each column intact to aid in healing) to help reduce “age-spots” (also called sun freckles, liver spots, and lentigines), fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, uneven coloration, skin laxity, textural irregularities, dull tone, and a thinned collagen layer of the face, neck, and chest.
The CO2 laser is the best option if you wish to get the most results with one treatment. If you have the ability to take some time to heal (7-14 days), having this treatment is like having multiple other non-invasive treatments at once. It is also the best single treatment for advanced skin damage and wrinkling.
IPL Photorejuvenation, or photo facial as it is commonly called, is a non-invasive procedure that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to erase signs of aging from the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and other areas. It is an in-office procedure personally performed by our certified laser technician. A treatment program typically includes 3 to 6 sessions of about 30 minutes, each performed at three-week intervals.
IPL Photorejuvenation treats a wide variety of skin problems to suit your needs. Among these are spider veins (broken capillaries) on the face, fine lines, rosacea, pigment discoloration, (such as malasma, age, and sun spots), uneven skin color, redness of the neck, and general sun damage. IPL can treat the chest, arms, face, legs, and back.
A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small, smooth, transparent hand piece and gently placed over the skin. Filters in the hand piece change the wavelength range allowing it to be optimized for different applications and skin types. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions. The body’s natural process then sloughs away the targeted tissue, giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.
In addition to treating multiple symptoms and locations during each session, IPL’s gentle, non-invasive and safe procedures result in “no down-time.” You can see a change in the complexion and skin texture at the completion of each treatment. With the use of sun blocks, you can return to normal activities.
Fraxel Laser Treatment (FLT)
Fraxel Laser Treatment (FLT) is a “fractional” treatment that produces thousands of deep, tiny columns in your skin, called microthermal treatment zones. It is designed to treat aging and sun-damaged skin by targeting a specific percentage of damaged tissue. “Fractional” refers to the laser treating only a fraction of the skin in a pixel-like pattern leaving the healthy, untreated surrounding tissue. This treatment method triggers the body’s natural healing process, accelerating the skin’s natural production of collagen and new, healthy skin cells to replace the damaged cells.
Fraxel can treat facial skin, including areas around the lips, eyes and the eyelids, as well as body parts including the neck, chest, arms, and hands. Fraxel lasers have received multiple FDA clearances and have been found safe and effective in treating many areas of the face and body.
We have 2 different treatments that use a Fraxel laser, including: Clear + Brilliant and EndyMed.
EndyMed by 3DEEP technology is safe, non-invasive, has no side effects and is truly unique because it is based on multi-source, phase-controlled, radio frequency (RF) energy. RF energy effectively and successfully penetrates deep into every skin type and the treatments are easily controlled, enabling the skincare specialist to offer the patient reliable results. This treatment method stimulates collagen remodeling which restores firmness, reduces wrinkles, and offers patients a natural glow. EndyMed can be used to tighten sagging or loose skin on the body. It can treat a variety of targeted areas such as the chest, breasts, upper arms, thighs and buttocks, but it is most popular for the face or neck, where there may be more visual signs of aging.
