Scott Godwin is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native who attended Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate education. He attended Barry University and earned a master’s degree in biomedical science, graduating at the top of his class. Afterwards, he received his DMD from Midwestern University in Chicago and went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Godwin is trained in dentoalveolar surgery including complex bone grafting and implant surgery with office-based anesthesia, TMJ surgery and prosthetic replacements, traumatic facial reconstruction, benign pathology such as tumors and cysts, and corrective jaw surgery.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and participates in multiple community outreach programs and mission trips in the U.S. and internationally.
In his free time, Dr. Godwin enjoys fishing, boating, snowboarding, and traveling.
