The All-On-4 Technique

The All-On-4® technique (also known as same-day teeth or same-day smiles) delivers the maximum results in the shortest treatment time with minimal discomfort. The All-On-4® procedure is a method to replace a full arch of missing teeth with dental implants supporting a fixed denture/bridge.

This unique surgical procedure oftentimes allows patients who may not have been considered candidates for implants before to have a fixed implant denture that is not removable, and improves their smile and their function.

Patients who undergo the All-On-4® procedure experience improved function and aesthetics with the added benefit of fewer surgeries! Unlike dentures, All-On-4® implants are permanent, so they remain in your mouth and attached to your gums.

Some of the benefits with All-On-4® include:

  • Requires minimal recovery time
  • Eliminates the need for bone grafting, in most cases
  • Allows for easy maintenance through proper oral hygiene
  • Restores the ability to eat all types of foods
  • Ensures long-term results with the potential to last a lifetime
  • Renews a youthful appearance through bone level stabilization
  • Enhances self-confidence and overall quality of life

What will my diet be like after the All-On-4® Procedure?
When can I eat solid food again?

Solid foods can be eaten by a patient that has undergone the All-On-4® Procedure that same day. However, when we say solid foods, we are talking about a modified food diet, defined as foods that are soft enough to be cut with a fork. Examples of the modified food diet are scrambled eggs, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, hamburger, fish, and pasta. Please do not eat foods that require any tearing or biting with your front teeth (i.e., pizza, sandwiches, and bagels). Also, avoid hard foods such as carrots, chips, apples, nuts, and absolutely no gum chewing!

This modified diet is to be maintained until you receive your permanent prosthesis, which will usually be in about 6 months. Once your final bridges are made with the titanium frame as reinforcement, you can resume a normal diet.
