During this unprecedented time, we want to assure you that COAFS is responding to the needs of the community as we face the COVID-19 crisis together. Here are just a few ways we are adapting to serve you.
Virtual Consultations and Visits: If you have a new dental need or a dental emergency, we are available virtually to meet with you using your computer, phone or tablet for an immediate assessment. COAFS can cooperate with your dentist and other doctors every step of the way on your dental heath journey.
Emergency Help: If you have a dental emergency, there is no need for you to visit hospitals or urgent care facilities who are treating sick patients. COAFS is open for emergency cases and is only seeing healthy patients. Our goal is to provide relief for your dental pain or other dental emergency in a safe environment and under the scope of services we offer.
Best Practices: COAFS uses medical-grade cleaner to clean patient rooms and operating suites in between every patient we see. We also practice social distancing by having patients wait in their vehicles until the time of their appointment. Hand sanitizer is available in our waiting rooms and masks are available upon request at the front desk. All patients will receive a medical screening where each patient’s temperature is taken along with screening questions to ensure no sick patient — or patient that has been in contact with sick people — will be seen. These are just a few of the ways we are adapting during this uncertain time.
What you can do: The healthier you stay, the healthier our community remains. Keep yourself healthy by keeping your body and your mouth clean. Take your hygiene seriously by washing your hands, brushing and flossing your teeth, not touching your face, maintaining a clean and healthy diet, and practicing social distancing. Do not postpone your urgent oral and dental appointments as untreated disease can have a negative effect on your immune system and overall health.
